Here’s a list of descriptors people have used for rivers.  Pick one that reminds you of a character you love and use it as a title for a poem about them.

If you need more structure: what consonants create sounds you associate with rivers? Perhaps the sibilance of the ‘s’ sound reminds you of them. Use as many of these sounds as possible.
